BLOG: Andre Gurode And The Ravens
I know the Ravens don't have much cap room, practically zero dollars to spend. With that being said, a player has hit the open market that would be a perfect fit for the Ravens.
Andre Gurode was just cut by the Cowboys. He wasn't cut because he couldn't play at a high level. He wasn't cut because he had a bad attitude. The Cowboys and Gurode could not agree to restructure a deal, so they were forced to let him go. I don't know if it would mean cutting Matt Birk or possibly Foxworth, but I believe he is the perfect fit. The Ravens need to sure up the center position, I like Bryan Mattison, but he is not the answer.
The Ravens still have to cut 27 players by Sunday, maybe more if they make a few additions. I don't care what they have to do. Sign Ngata to a long term deal and free up cap space or cut someone. Whatever you have to do, get Gurode in here.
