Historic Kickoff Return Lands Jacoby Jones On Cover Of Sports Illustrated
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The world champion Baltimore Ravens are making headlines again--this time, on the covers of Sports Illustrated.
Jessica Kartalija has details on the just-released issues.
Those issues just hit store shelves Thursday, and they're already selling out.
Seconds into the third quarter, Jacoby Jones dances his way to history. Now he's gracing the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated.
"That's the icing. That was love, that was a blessing," Jones said.
In Hunt Valley, there's a two-copy limit on the Jones cover.
"Everybody's got a smile on their face, they can't get enough," said Stephen Spund, Greetings and Readings. "We do have more on re-order so as soon as we get our re-order in, we'll take the limit off."
A special Ravens commemorative issue is also selling like crazy.
"It's great to have them be playing and win," said Virginia Wood.
The Ravens are the first team with two Super Bowl kickoff returns--one for each game--Jacoby again dancing his way into history.
"I gave a little bit of the 'shug.' My little version," said Jones.
And Jones is still dancing, all the way home to M&T Bank Stadium--where more than 200,000 people showed up to honor Jones and the Ravens. Now he says he's ready to get back to work.
"I'm ready to go back to work and do it all again and see all the fans go crazy. It feels so good. I'm ready to do it all again," Jones said.
Jones had a record 290 all-purpose yards during the Super Bowl.
