Bicyclists Racing Through Downtown Hagerstown
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A bicycling club is kicking off a racing weekend in Washington County with a race on the streets of downtown Hagerstown.
The Antietam Velo Club says it will hold its Kick-Off Classic Criterium Friday evening on a one-eighth mile circuit along four city streets.
Organizer Joseph Jefferson says more than 150 riders in three classes have pre-registered for the Friday event.
On Saturday and Sunday, the club will hold its three-stage Tour of Washington County starting from locations in Smithsburg, Boonsboro and Williamsport.
