BGE Says Power Restored To All But 3,400 Customers
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Gas and Electric says electricity has been restored to all but 3,400 customers and that most of the outages would be restored by Saturday night.
Officials provided an update Saturday afternoon of the 209,000 customers that lost electricity after Wednesday's storm.
Company officials say it was "one of the most damaging winter storms in BGE's history," causing 50 percent more outages than the back-to-back snowstorms last February.
Spokesman Rob Gould says the utility is "aggressively attacking the outages."
