BGE Restores Power To Nearly 15,000 In Maryland
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Gas and Electric says it has restored power to nearly 15,000 customers who were in the dark after severe storms moved across central and southern Maryland.
By 11:30 a.m. Saturday, only about 500 BGE customers were still without power. The utility says it's working to have power restored to nearly everyone by 5 p.m.
BGE says the hardest hit areas from Friday night's storms were Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties.
Pepco is reporting nearly 500 outages in Montgomery County and fewer in Prince George's County and the District of Columbia.
