BGE Advises Customers Ahead Of Hurricane Season
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Gas and Electric is advising customers to prepare now for hurricane season.
The utility says customers should have flashlights and fresh batteries, a battery-powered radio, fully charged cell phone and non-perishable foods.
Customers should also consider filling up their vehicles in case of a power outage to neighborhood gas stations. And those who rely on well water should fill a bathtub before severe weather arrives.
BGE says it is preparing for hurricane season by reviewing its emergency response plan and ensuring employees understand and can carry out storm assignments. The utility says it will closely monitor approaching storm systems to ensure resources are in place before storms arrive.
