Best Places To See Fireworks In Baltimore
Summer is a time for enjoying the sun, taking a swim, hiking, boating, traveling and enjoying life on the Chesapeake Bay. It is also a time for carnivals and fairs and other summer celebrations. The best festivals and fairs cap off the night with colorful fireworks displays. Baltimore is home to many fireworks events, including the Inner Harbor's famous fireworks shows.

Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. at the Inner Harbor. Beginning at 3:30 p.m., the Ports America Chesapeake 4th of July Celebration will feature music and live entertainment. The U.S. Naval Academy Electric Brigade is one of the groups to perform.. The 18-minute fireworks display is a not-to-be-missed event. While it can be seen anywhere along the Inner Harbor, a good place to watch the show is at the amphitheater. While there is plenty of nearby parking, it is a good idea to reserve parking for the event.

Pretty much anywhere in downtown Annapolis is a good place to watch the fireworks. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 4, the celebration begins with a parade that travels from Amos Garrett Boulevard and winds its way onto West Street, around Church Circle and then down Main Street to the City Dock. At 8 p.m., the U.S. Naval Academy Band will perform at Susan Campbell Park. Fireworks are set for 9:15 p.m. over Annapolis Harbor.

This year's Dundalk Heritage Fair runs from noon until 10 p.m., June 28 through June 30. Admission is $7 per person. Children 12 and under are free. Entertainment will feature Three Dog Night, Jefferson Starship and The Mahoney Brothers. The 79th annual Dundalk 4th of July Parade will begin at 8:15 a.m., Thursday, July 4, from Dundalk Avenue. At 9:15 p.m., Thursday, July 4, fireworks will light the skies around the North Point Government Center. A rain date of dusk on Friday, July 5 has been set. The fireworks can be seen from various locations around town.

Beginning at noon on Thursday, July 4, the Carroll County Farm Museum will host an Old-Fashioned July 4th Celebration. General admission is $5 for adults and $4 for youth ages seven to 18 and for seniors 60 and over. During the day, there will be mule-drawn wagon rides, old-fashioned games, live entertainment and a craft sale. Food is also available on-site. The fireworks display, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Westminster, begins at 9:30 p.m.

Considered to be one of the best 4th of July celebrations in Maryland, the annual event in Frederick begins at noon and includes a number of activities. At the dunk tank, for $1, you can take a swing at dunking Frederick celebrities into a big tub of water. At the Gazebo Information Booth, children and their families can get a Scavenger Hunt booklet. When filled with stamps, the booklet can be exchanged for a chance to win a family of four admission to Hersheypark. The KEY103 Great Frederick Bathtub Races begin at 12:30 p.m. in Culler Lake. The Zambelli Fireworks display will be held at Parkway Elementary School and will be visible from all areas of Baker Park. Carroll Parkway will be closed to pedestrian traffic between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled to begin around dusk. Seating can be found at the swimming pool on Fleming Avenue, on the lawn of Frederick High School and around the Carollon area of the Baker Park Bandshell.
