Best Irish Pubs

Are you looking for the best Irish pubs in Baltimore?  Whether you want to scope out the best place to watch REAL football (or soccer, to everyone else) or find the best place for St. Patrick's Day, here are five of the best places to go.

James Joyce Irish Pub and Restaurant

616 S. President Street
Baltimore, MD 21202
410-727-5107
http://thejamesjoycepub.com/

The James Joyce Pub has lunch specials every day and dinner specials on Fridays and Saturdays.  They offer brunch on the weekends.  They have Irish favorites like bangers and mash, fish and chips and beef and Guinness stew or, for the less adventurous, more traditional Maryland fare like crab cakes.  They have a variety of special events coming up; check their website for more information.

Mick O'Shea's

328 N. Charles Street
Baltimore, MD 21201
410-539-7504

Mick O'Shea's has an extensive drink menu, but they're also open for lunch and dinner.  They offer weekly specials.  Their food is more bar fare than Irish (including nachos, chicken tenders and wings), but it still sounds good.  They offer live music; check their website for more information.

Patrick's Of Pratt Street

934 W. Pratt Street
Baltimore, MD 21223
443-869-6136

Baltimore Magazine has named Patrick's Baltimore's Best Irish Pub.  They've also been named Baltimore's Best Casual Dining.  It's also America's oldest Irish Pub; it's been in operation since 1847.  It's also always been run by the same family.  They're closed Sundays and Mondays.  Visit their website for more information.

Ryan's Daughter Irish Pub and Restaurant

600 E. Belvedere Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21212
410-464-1000
http://www.rdirishpub.com/

As its name says, Ryan's Daughter is a pub and restaurant.  It's a place to eat some of your favorite foods or grab a pint with friends.  They have brunch on Sundays and offer catering.  Their menu is filled with a unique take on bar fare.  For example, they offer spring rolls but their version has corned beef and cabbage inside.  Visit their website for more information.

Slainte Irish Pub and Restaurant

1700 Thames Street
Baltimore, MD 21231
410-563-6600
http://slaintepub.com/

Slainte has been named Baltimore's Best for everything from pub food to sports bars.  It's Baltimore's best place to watch a rugby match and soccer match.  They also have the best gumbo, breakfast, French onion soup and corned beef and cabbage.  To see their menu and schedule of events, visit their website.
