Known for its circular viewing area — giving everyone in the audience a unique perspective on the play — its inexpensive prices, and its great intermission wine and munchies, the Spotlighters Theatre spotlights horror comedy all this October (and early November) with their side-splitting romantic horror comedy "Zombie Prom." In this 1950s-themed musical, the greaser bad-boy and his pure and innocent girlfriend find themselves in a Romeo-and-Juliet-style separation. Things are complicated when he rides his bike through a nuclear waste dump and comes back toxic and glowing. Can their differences be reconciled so that they can still attend the prom together? Only one way to find out. Attend the performance and prepare to have yourself a laugh.

A small restaurant store front which has been converted into a theater, The Yellow Sign is named after an arcane symbol which emerges from late 19th-century horror literature. As one might expect, the performances here all tend toward darker material. This October is no exception, as the theater presents its original play,"From A Black Egg." A "silent play," this is an impressionist piece accompanied by a musical score, animated sequences and other creative means of storytelling without dialogue. The play tells the story of a lovelorn widow who makes a deal with the devil in order to recover the husband she lost.
Prepare for a twisted, mind-bending experience to leave you thoroughly disturbed this Halloween.
