The Howard Peter Rawlings Conservatory of Druid Hill Park leads the list of Baltimore City's best public gardens. The Conservatory has a rich history in the city dating back to 1888. With year-round displays of plant material, The Conservatory hosts The Spring Flower Show, a Chrysanthemum display and a Poinsettia show. Explore the beauty of the facility and walk through the Palm House, Orchid Room, Mediterranean House, Tropical House and Desert House. The Conservatory is home to 35 flowerbeds and has a color display of flowers that rivals the rainbow.

Began as a hobby of petroleum pioneer John W. Sherwood and located at the estate of The Baltimore Sun Founder, A. S. Abell, Sherwood Gardens has become known as the most famous tulip garden in North America. With approximately 80,000 tulip bulbs, Sherwood Gardens is a popular attraction during the spring. Dogwoods, cherries and magnolias surround the tulips for a marvelous display that is in full boom during April and the beginning of May. The public can easily stroll through the six acres of garden that has no fences or gates. The peaceful nature of Sherwood Gardens makes for a pleasant stroll through Baltimore.

Walk the along the Nature Walk at Ladew through the woods and across wetland marsh.
