For more than 20 years, the Patapsco Flea Market has gained a reputation as one of the largest held in the Baltimore area. With about 230,000 square feet of shopping area, the venue features both indoor and outdoor shopping. The outdoor area is open spring through mid-winter, but may close due to bad weather. The indoor facility is open year-round. More than 1,000 vendors display wares ranging from cosmetic products, ethnic garb, perfumes and home décor to household wares, technology products, toys and games and other items. It also features an international food court.

The Bethesda Flea Market, which is also called the Montgomery Farm Women's Cooperative, has been operating since 1932. Open rain or shine, the site includes both indoor and outdoor facilities. Hundreds of vendors sell their wares each weekend at the Fairgrounds Flea Market at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds.
