Located in the historic Mt. Washington part of the city, this center helps to perpetuate the artistic and educational programs available in the area of ceramic arts. Customers are welcome to come in and paint pottery that is already available at Amazing Glaze. They may add colors and designs to make the pottery truly unique. There is an emphasis upon mosaic and glass fusing in the studio. In addition, Amazing Glaze offers canvas workshops for both adults and children, in which it features one design and then proceeds step-by-step to a finished product. There are ceramic workshops available, as well as parties for children.

The Maryland Institute College of Art affords students the opportunity for undergraduate and graduate studies. One area of focus is ceramics. According to the MICA website, the ceramics major at MICA is "a highly individualized program of study that develops technical skills within a framework of innovation, interdisciplinary research and critical inquiry." Instructors in the department work closely with students as they move from structured to more independent study. Students also have opportunities to study abroad to create works of art. In addition, there is an interdisciplinary approach to learning as ceramics majors interact with students in other disciplines to promote a sense of community.

The Pottery Stop and Coffee Shop offers classes in glass fusion jewelry, as well as ceramics. People can walk in, choose their piece and paint it, with instruction from staff. This organization also offers workshops once or twice a month and has just completed a fall session for adults. The shop also offers workshops for children. There are guided, step-by-step classes available for people who want to learn more techniques.

According to the Potters Guild website, there are class sessions of eight to 12 weeks for all levels. Classes are available Monday through Friday. The website states, "The Potters Guild of Baltimore hosts workshops several times a year by some of the best contemporary ceramic artists in the world. Artists working in a variety of firing methods and techniques share their expertise with members and non-members. Workshops are open to the public (unless otherwise noted) and offered at an affordable rate." The facility is also available for private parties and workshops. In addition, there is a gallery that displays and sells students' works.
