Founded in 1972, The Hippo is located in the heart of the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore. The Hippo has been "a cornerstone in the gay and lesbian community in Baltimore." The Hippo's motto, "where everyone is welcome," is as true today as it was when the bar was first founded. Guests can choose from dancing all night to relaxing in the karaoke/video bar, to enjoying a cocktail in the saloon. Happy Hour is offered daily from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Known as the "Distinguished Alternative," Grand Central is also known as "Baltimore's Best Alternative Entertainment Complex." Grand Central is known as the "cornerstone of trendy, upscale nightlife in Baltimore city." Opened in 1991 as a pub, Grand Central is still located in the same historic 1865 Baltimore row house. Grand Central expanded from its location in one row house when it purchased the "adjacent Stagecoach property." Grand Central is in walking distance of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, Penn Station, the Walters Art museum, and other Baltimore landmarks and institutions.

Celebrating its 53rd year serving the gay community of Baltimore, Leon's is Baltimore's oldest gay bar. Daily specials include two-for-one happy hour specials, domestic beer specials, and rail drink specials from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Known as the bar with the "Best Happy Hour in Town," Leon's is also "where the Bears hang out Wednesday through Friday and Sunday." Leon's also has wi-fi. Serving lunch, dinner, and late night fare daily, Leon's guests can eat at the bar or in the "newly decorated dining room known as Singer's.

1722 After Hours is a club for guests 21 and over. A dress code is enforced at 1722 After Hours where guests must not wear baseball hats, visors, or any other type of hat, Timberlands, Colorado's, or construction boots, and may wear jeans as long as the jeans are waisted, belted, and not excessively baggy. 1722 After Hours has two dance nights: Fridays from 1:45 a.m. to 5 a.m. called "Top 40 and Xover Dance," and Saturdays from 1:45 a.m. to 6 a.m. where DJs are spinning house, techno, vocals, progressive, percussion, cutting edge, and dance classics.
