'Bentley Bandit' Caught; Stolen Bentley Crashed
SULPHUR, La. (AP) -- Authorities say a fugitive dubbed the "Bentley Bandit" and wanted in six states is being held without
bond in a southwest Louisiana jail after allegedly wrecking a stolen 2007 Bentley.
The U.S. Marshal's Service says that when police tracked him down about six hours after the wreck, Justin William Durbin, 22, of Altus, Okla., "put his hands in the air and said, `It's me'."
The Marshal's Service says its officers and state police chased the stolen car Wednesday in Lafayette, and on Thursday from Lake Charles to nearby Sulphur, where it crashed.
State police say Durbin was booked on traffic violations and other charges, and held without bond as a fugitive.
The U.S. Marshal's Service says Durbin was wanted in Arizona, South Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Virginia and Louisiana.
