Bench Helps Loyola Defeat Siena 66-55
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Dylon Cormier and Robert Olson combined for 33 of Loyola's points and the Greyhounds' bench outscored Siena's 17-0 in a 66-55 victory Thursday night in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game.
Loyola (13-5, 6-2) led by just two points at halftime, 29-27, but the Greyhounds, with good bench play, outscored Siena (8-10, 3-5) in the second half 37-28. Their 17 bench points came from Austin Drummond (9 points) and Anthony Winbush (8). Siena used only two substitutes, and one played only one minute.
Loyola outrebounded Siena 40-29, with a 20-11 advantage on the offensive boards. The Greyhounds also hit 5 of 15 3-pointers, to just 2 of 8 for Siena.
Loyola also outshot the Saints at the line, making 15 of 21 foul shots to Siena's 9 of 13. Erik Etherly scored 12 points.
Kyle Downey and O.D. Anosike each scored 15 points for Siena. Owen Wignot added 10.
