Bel Air High School Teacher's Aide Charged With Sex Abuse
BEL AIR, Md. (AP) -- Harford County police say a teacher's aide has been charged with sexual abuse of a student.
Police say Anthony Farris, 24, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student while working at Bel Air High School.
Farris has been released on a $50,000 bond.
Investigators say the sexual activity allegedly took place in a high school office between September and December.
Farris has been charged with sex abuse of a minor, fourth-degree sex offense and perverted practice.
School officials say Farris, who was also the head track coach and assistant football coach at Joppatowne High School, was placed on administrative leave Jan. 25 and is no longer employed by the county school system.
