Behind Enemy Lines: Texas Rangers
The Orioles are coming off a big series sweep of the Cleveland Indians over the weekend and now have the Texas Rangers coming to town. To get an idea of the competition they're looking at, we had Anthony Andro who covers the Rangers for Fox Sports join the Vinny and Rob Show.
When Rob mentions that we may be witnessing a "rebirth of Prince Fielder", Andro notes Fielder is leading the majors in games with multiple hits and, while he was unhealthy last year, his mindset and health have both been good this year. When asked about Mitch Morland, Andro thinks he has been a constant offensive threat for the Rangers. Anthony also notes that Wandy Rodriguez's command has been good aside from his last start, and that the Rangers must pitch well this series.
Rob asks if there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Rangers to be a legitimate contender again, to which Andro believes that can get back and be close to that kind of level, while noting that last year was their only really bad year. Check it out!
