Bank Teller Sentenced For Embezzling Elderly Customers
GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A bank teller who embezzled more than $140,000 from elderly customers' accounts has been sentenced to two years in prison.
Thirty-seven-year-old Irene Quansah of Germantown was also to pay restitution at sentencing Thursday in federal court in Greenbelt.
According to her plea, Quansah used her position as a teller coordinator at a bank to fraudulently withdraw funds from customers' accounts and fail to deposit customer funds.
