Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested On Metro
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metropolitan police have arrested an alleged bank robber who tried to use the Metro as his getaway vehicle.
It happened about 10 a.m. Friday. The Washington Post reports that a man robbed a Wells Fargo bank on K Street. D.C. police asked Metro Transit Police to hold trains at the Dupont stop.
A Metro spokesman says the suspect was arrested without incident on a train bound for Silver Spring.
The suspect has not been identified.
