Baltimore's Parks And Recreation Director Resigns
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore's recreation and parks director is resigning after less than two years in the position to take a job in Florida.
Officials said Tuesday that Gregory Bayor is leaving to become the director of recreation and parks in Tampa.
Bayor had been charged with overseeing Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's plan to overhaul the city's recreation centers. He was the 15th director of the recreation and parks department in the past two decades.
Rawlings-Blake says the chief of parks, Bill Vondrasek, will serve as acting director of the department beginning April 6.
