Baltimore Symphony Conductor Injured In Brazil
BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra says Music Director Marin Alsop has been injured following an accident in Brazil and is canceling her conducting engagements for July.
The orchestra announced Wednesday that Alsop suffered a minor injury to her wrist after an accident in her hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The injury is forcing her to cancel her conducting engagements with the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra for this month.
Alsop's next concert appearance with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is scheduled for Sept. 20.
