Baltimore Seeks Free Christmas Tree For City Hall
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore is asking for the donation of a large evergreen tree for this year's holiday display at City Hall.
The city is asking for a spruce or fir tree 25 to 35 feet tall with symmetrical branches and no large holes or gaps. A pine tree with a nice shape would also be accepted.
The selected tree will be removed from the owner's property and transported at no cost to the donor. The donor will get a letter of thanks from Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, and a sign will be placed next to the tree with the donor's name.
In the past, businesses and individuals have donated trees.
Anyone interested should contact City Hall Curator Jeanne Davis at 410-396-4947 or jeanne.davis@baltimorecity.gov.
