Baltimore Poly-Tech Students Give Back The Day Before Thanksgiving
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Some area high school students are giving back as they give thanks the day before Thanksgiving.

Students from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute opened their hearts and wallets to make a difference.
A busy morning at the Giant in Hampden, especially when you're buying 60 turkeys and all the trimmings at one time.
"Today we are donating up to 60 baskets to various food banks around the city," a student said.
The baskets include apple and pumpkin pie. It's all part of giving back for Baltimore Poly-Tech student government members and their classmates.
"Back at Poly, we had students contribute both monetary and non-perishable items and donations," one of the students said.
The students opened up their trunks and hearts to help the less fortunate in their community. It's true school spirit during this season of thanks.
"When we get back to school, we are going to have student drivers, about 15, take the baskets to various places around the city and feed those across the city that are not that fortunate as us. They'll be able to have a Thanksgiving meal," said Brooks Gearhart, Student Government Association.
Hundreds of students donated items for the baskets.
