Baltimore Police Investigate Rash Of Shootings
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore police are investigating a rash of shootings over the weekend.
Sunday morning, officers reported to the 52-hundred block of St. Charles Avenue for an assault report. They found a person who had been shot. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people were shot in the 51-hundred block of Arbutus Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say an unknown suspect fired into a group of people. The three victims were taken to area hospitals and are in stable condition.
There was a double fatal shooting in the 14-hundred block of Pennsylvania Avenue shortly before midnight Saturday. A man and a woman were shot. They were taken to hospitals, where they were pronounced dead.
A man was shot in the 5-hundred block of E. 26th Street around 9:15 p.m. Saturday. He was shot in the face and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A man was shot in the 2-hundred block of S. Dallas Court Saturday afternoon. Officers found him in the 2-hundred block of S. Broadway. He had been shot in the leg. He was taken to an area hospital.
