Baltimore Police Investigate Rash Of Shootings
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore police are investigating two shootings that occurred Sunday.
Police say Dayon Barnes, 27, was sitting inside a car on N. Smallwood Street when a suspect approached and shot him several times. Barnes was taken to Bon Secours Hospital and then to Shock Trauma, where he died early Sunday morning.
At 1:30 a.m. Sunday, police were called to an area hospital and found a man who had been shot in the back. The victim said that he was driving a cab with two passengers. When he pulled into a parking lot on Sisson Street, one of the passengers pulled out a gun and demanded money. The driver was then shot. He was taken to the hospital, where his condition is not known.
