Baltimore Police Investigate Rash Of Overnight Shootings
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore Police are investigating a rash of overnight shootings.
At 1:49 a.m. Saturday, officers reported to the intersection of E. Preston and N. Asquith for a shooting. The victim was shot in the legs. He has been taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. Three men were seen running from the scene.
At 4:05 a.m., police reported to the 3700 block of Ravenwood Avenue. They found a man who had been shot in the head. He was taken to Bayview, where he later died.
At 4:31 a.m., police were called to the 3100 block of Monument Street, where they found a woman shot in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. They believe that this may be connected to the 4:05 a.m. shooting, though they did not specify why.
At 5:56 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of N. Ellwood Avenue and found a man shot in the neck, torso and leg. He was taken to an area hospital, where he is in serious condition. He is expected to recover.
At 6:16 a.m., police responded to N. Lakewood for a shooting. They found a man shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
