Baltimore Police Charge Man With Robbery & Impersonating A Police Officer
BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Baltimore police have arrested and charged a 27-year-old man for robbery and impersonating a police officer.
A 26-year-old man called Baltimore police on June 16 to the 1700-block of Bank Street in Southeast Baltimore reporting a robbery. The victim said he was walking down the street when the suspect driving a dark-colored SUV called out to the victim: "Hey, stop! I'm the police!"
The victim said he stopped walking and then put his hands up as the suspect asked. The suspect took money and a cell phone from the victim and drove away.
Baltimore police found a vehicle on Tuesday matching the description the robbery victim had given them. They stopped the vehicle in the 400-block of S. Broadway Street and arrested Joshua Brake. Police say Brake was wearing a bulletproof vest and a badge around his neck. They also found several other police-related items with him.
