Baltimore Orioles pitcher Miguel Gonzalez joined Ed & Steve this morning to talk about his off-season, spring training, and the chances of the Orioles having another winning season this year.
Miguel talked about how 1 year ago today he didn't have a job and was debating whether to go play in Mexico or keep searching around the MLB.
Steve asked Miguel how he got linked with the Orioles. Miguel said the Orioles gave him an option to stick in the minors or they would release him and Miguel said he just wanted a shot and the Orioles gave it to him.
Ed asked Miguel about the attitude in the clubhouse in spring training. Miguel said Buck tries to keep the guys loose and motivated and shows them motivational videos. Miguel said Buck knows what he's doing and expects the team to do better this year than last year.
Miguel talked about how his parents moved his family to the USA for a better education and how he has been in the US since the age of 4 years old.
