Baltimore Man Found Guilty Of Sword Stabbing Death
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore jury has convicted a man of stabbing a man to death using a sword drawn from a walking cane after a dispute over a football wager.
Prosecutors say Todd Marrow was convicted Wednesday of second-degree murder and a weapons charge in the death of Orville Chamblee last year.
Prosecutors say the men argued over a bet and Marrow told Chamblee's girlfriend he wanted to kill Chamblee. The next day, prosecutors say surveillance cameras captured a confrontation in which Marrow swung an object at Chamblee, making stabbing motions.
Chamblee was found unresponsive a few blocks away and died.
Prosecutors say Marrow was later found in the same vehicle as a cane that doubled as a sheath.
Prosecutors say Marrow acknowledges they fought, but denies using a weapon.
