Baltimore Gets Into Holiday Spirit With New Power Plant Live Show
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore City gets into the holiday spirit.
As Adam May reports, one new attraction looks like something straight out of Las Vegas.
It starts with a shadowy figure in a spotlight, walking into an imaginary door. Then Power Plant Live comes alive with a $400,000 laser light show, a new attraction for the holiday season.
"The light show is something we've never seen in Baltimore before," Laurie Schwartz said.
The show is about seven minutes long and features Christmas music, Christmas lights and amazing special effects.
Of course, Santa Claus wasn't going to be outdone. He's opening his home at Harborplace.
"This is all a part of a new campaign, It's a Waterfront Life. It offers family fun and activities during the holidays," said Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.
It all started with the city's first ever Lantern Parade, featuring local schools and neighborhoods.
The laser light show is every night through the new year.
