Baltimore DOT Providing Sandbags Ahead Of Joaquin
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—The Baltimore City Department of Transportation is preparing for the upcoming storms by providing residents with sandbags ahead of Hurricane Joaquin.
City residents can pick up sandbags on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Thames and Broadway.
Residents are limited to 10 sandbags each and available on a first come first serve basis.
Officials say after the storm, citizens should place unwanted sandbags in front of their homes, near the curb and call 311 for pickup.
All residents are strongly advised to prepare for heavy rain and strong wings which may accompany Hurricane Joaquin.
