Baltimore City, County Police Sign 30X30 Pledge In Effort To Get More Women On The Force
TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- The Baltimore City and County Police departments are working to get more women on the force.
Both departments signed the National 30X30 Pledge, which means they hope to get women to represent 30% of their recruiting classes by 2030.
Currently, women only make up 12% of officers and 3% of leadership in departments nationwide.
Organizers of the pledge hope this will help eliminate barriers for female officers moving forward.
