Baltimore County Police arrived on the scene of a fatal shooting in Lochearn. Police say it happened at the intersection of Alter and Southern Cross about 6:50 p.m. Monday. It was reported as a crash but found to be much worse.
"Once the officers responded to the scene, they attempted to treat the victim, who was inside the car that had crashed into the fence. Upon trying to treat the victim, they discovered that the victim had been shot at least once," said Baltimore County Police Lt. Rob McCullough.
The victim was driving a minivan and crashed it after being shot.
Medics also responded and tried to treat him but police say that person--an adult male--died at the scene.
Police believe the man lived very close to the location where he was killed.
It wasn't immediately clear how many suspects were involved, or whether they were on foot or also driving.
"We just continue to investigate this case. We're asking anyone that might have information about this crime to contact the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020," McCullough said.
