Severe Weather Rolls Through Baltimore County; Cleanup Efforts Now Underway
TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- Baltimore County had its share of storm damage Friday.
Tim Williams has more.
Downed trees are just one example of the damage left behind in Baltimore County. Dick Davidson is one of many Towson residents who came out to see the damage done to his neighbor's home.
"You wonder why the wind couldn't have blown it the other way and land in the yard instead of blowing it onto the house. Good grief," said Davidson.
Storm damage is becoming big business for tree removal services in the area.
"We were here late last night, back again today and we'll likely be here tomorrow morning and through the week," said Dustin Gallimore of Gallimore Tree Service.
Some trees sheered off at the base, and others snapped right across the top. Now, crews are working to clear debris around the region.
"First of all, 'Is anybody hurt?' went through my brain. Secondly, I don't know how they're going to repair something like that," Davidson said.
Damage assessments are being made around the county. It will likely be next week before they are complete.
