Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested After Barricade Situation
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A bank robbery suspect has been arrested hours after barricading himself inside a home in Northwest Baltimore.
Police say an armed suspect robbed the M&T Bank in the 2800 block of Smith Avenue in Pikesville, Baltimore County. It happened at about 1 p.m. Friday. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the scene.
The investigation led police to the 3500 block of Garrison Avenue in Northwest Baltimore. That's where police say the suspect barricaded himself inside a house.
While other occupants left the house unharmed, the armed suspect remained inside.
Police finally apprehended the suspect around 9 p.m.
There have been no reported injuries. The suspect has yet to be identified.
