Baltimore City Police Rescue Dog On I-83

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore City Police say a 911 caller helped save the life of a lost dog.

Police tweeted out this picture of the dog, who was found walking alone on I-83 Thursday morning.

Police briefly stopped traffic and scooped up the dog and took him to Baltimore Animal Rescue & Car Shelter or BARCS.

Our media partner the Baltimore Sun reports the dog's owner picked him up this afternoon, they had previously reported him missing.
