Police: 2 Killed, 7 Injured In Shootings Across Baltimore On Friday
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police say two teens, including one who died from her injuries, are among nine people who were shot throughout Baltimore on Friday.
The first shooting led to a West Baltimore school being placed on lockdown.
Baltimore City Police say the shooting happened just after 10 a.m. in the 300 block of N. Stricker St. A 39-year-old man was shot in the chest and leg, and his condition is unknown at this time. Franklin Square Elementary/Middle School was placed on a brief lockdown following the shooting.

Officers responded to the second shooting in the 3200 block of Phelps Lane just before 8 p.m. Police found a 28-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and leg. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. A short time later, investigators learned of a walk-in shooting victim. The 27-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Detectives believe both men were shot in the 3200 block of Phelps Lane.
About an hour later, officers were approached on the corner of West North and Pennsylvania Avenue by a 28-year-old man who said he was shot while in the 1800 block of Carey Street. He was taken to an area hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg and arm.
Around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to an area hospital for a report of another walk-in shooting victim. Police say a 19-year-old man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was immediately taken into surgery and was listed in critical condition.
Officers were called to the 500 block of North East Avenue minutes later for a report of another shooting. When they arrived, they found a 25-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Around 11 p.m., police received a call for a third walk-in shooting victim at an area hospital. A 52-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to the shoulder, neck and hand. He was rushed into surgery in serious condition. Detectives believe both men were shot while in the 500 block of North East Avenue.
Less than 15 minutes after the North East Avenue shooting, officers responded to the 3000 block of Raynor Avenue for a report of a shooting. Officers found an 18-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was found in the 700 block Poplar Grove suffering from a gunshot wound to foot.
