Baltimore Violence Continues: 6 Shot, 1 Fatally, Over Weekend
BALTIMORE, MD (WJZ) -- The crime wave in Baltimore continued this weekend with six people shot, including one fatally.
The first shooting happened just before 11:30 p.m. Friday in the unit block of W. 21st St. When officers arrived, they found a 47-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his foot. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to the 3300 block of Echodale Ave. for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his buttocks. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Around 1 a.m. Sunday, officers found a 42-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his arm in the 600 block of Arsan Ave. The man was treated at an area hospital.
Officers were called to the 2100 block of Edgewood St. where they found a 52-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg around 2:50 a.m. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
About 20 minutes later, officers were on foot patrol when they heard gunshots in the 6100 block of Harford Road. A short time later, police found a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Around 5:15 a.m., 28-year-old man a person was found with gunshot wounds to his body in the 2100 block of Presbury St.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was taken to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
