Baltimore City Council Candidate Charged With Theft
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A local activist turned City Council candidate is charged with theft in Baltimore County.
The Reverend Westley West faces misdemeanor theft charges.
The 27-year-old is accused of stealing $700 from a former employer to pay bills at his church.
West launched his campaign for the 7th District seat on Sunday.
The seat is held by Nick Mosby, who is running for mayor.
