Baltimore Blast Advance To MASL Championship
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Blast defeated the Comets in double overtime 4-3 to advance to the MASL Championship.
At the end of regulation the game was tied 3-3.
After a Comets penalty, the Blast would score :40 seconds into double overtime as Lucas Roque recorded the goal that would send the Blast to the MASL Championship Series. The Blast were led by offensively by Lucas Roque who recorded 2 goals on the night including the game tying goal and the game winner in double overtime. Tony Donatelli recorded two assists on the night. Blast goalkeeper, William Vanzela, recorded 10 saves in the victory.
The Blast matchup against Soles De Sonora of Mexico in the MASL Championship Series. Game 1 will be in Baltimore Sunday, April 10th at 6:05p.m. EST from the Royal Farms Arena. Game 2 in Sonora will be Friday, April 15th at 11p.m. EST.
