Authorities Investigating Fire At Elkton Building
ELKTON, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials in Cecil County are investigating the third fire in weeks at a vacant Elkton commercial building.
Firefighters say the latest fire at the building in the 200 block of West Pulaski Highway was reported at about 9 p.m. Saturday.
The property, which includes one large commercial building with a hotel and multiple apartments, has been vacant since 2000 and is owned by the bank. The News Journal of Wilmington reports the latest fire did about $20,000 in damage and destroyed apartments at the rear of the property.
Fire officials say they're looking for a possible suspect in Saturday's fire, a man with long brown hair and a goatee.
Two other fires happened on April 25 in a shed and April 26 in a duplex on the property.
