Arrest Made In Stabbing Of Girl In Silver Spring
SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police say they have made an arrest in the stabbing of a teenage girl outside a high school in Silver Spring.
Police say a 17-year-old girl was charged as an adult with attempted homicide, assault, reckless endangerment and carrying a dangerous weapon on school property. The girl turned herself into authorities.
Police say they were called Tuesday night to Northwood High School, where they found the victim suffering from several stab wounds to her lower torso. The victim, who is also 17, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say the suspect told them that the stabbing occurred during a fight in the parking lot of the high school.
