Arrest Made In Deadly August Hit-And-Run In Dundalk

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore County Police Department has announced an arrest in a fatal hit-and-run crash in August.

Investigators believe 23-year-old Keith Curtis Tawney was walking in a southbound lane of North Point Boulevard, just south of Cove Road, just before 1 a.m. on August 23, when he was struck by a vehicle.

Last week, after an intensive Crash Team investigation, a Baltimore County Grand Jury indicted 29-year-old Daniel Earl Lawrence of the 400 block of Riverside Drive in connection with the crash.

He was taken into custody just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday night and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The indictment charges Lawrence with failure to immediately stop vehicle at scene of accident involving death, failure to immediately return and remain at scene of accident involving death, and failure to stop at scene of accident resulting in death.
