Archdiocese Of Washington Welcomes 6 New Priests
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Catholic Church has six new priests who will serve in the Washington area.
Washington's Archbishop, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, ordained the six men on Saturday during a ceremony at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in northeast Washington.
More than 100 priests joined in the celebration. One of the new priests, the Rev. Scott Holmer, will celebrate his first mass Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Church of the Little Flower in Bethesda. The remaining priests will all celebrate their first Masses on Sunday at churches in Bethesda, Silver Spring, Rockville, Hyattsville and Waldorf.
