Anti-Gay Marriage Ad Begins Airing In Maryland
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Supporters of traditional marriage hit the airways with their first campaign ad urging voters to say no to same-sex marriage.

Before the ink was dry on the bill allowing same-sex marriage in Maryland, the petition to repeal it was in motion. The Maryland Marriage Alliance gathered more than 162,000 signatures to put it on the November ballot.
"Marriage, the union of a man and a woman, has served society well for thousands of years," said the ad.
Now the one man, one woman marriage campaign takes to the air as supporters of traditional marriage press home their point.
"I just reject the argument that those of us who oppose it are bigotry or hateful. It's not any of that but we love God and we have a responsibility to stand up for what is right," said Bishop Willard Saunders.
Same-sex marriage supporters are also standing up. Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo and Governor Martin O'Malley hosted a fundraiser Monday night. Ayanbadejo said he'll continue to voice his support.
"We're trying to get everybody to go out and vote yes for Question 6. It's going to make a difference, not only in Maryland. I think eventually Maryland's going to set the path to having equality spread throughout the rest of the country, as well," Ayanbadejo said.
If you've already decided how you're going to vote, you don't have to wait for Election Day. The Public Safety building in Park Heights and locations around the state open for early voting Oct. 27.
Oct. 16 is the deadline to register to vote.
