Anthony Levine Discusses His First Career Start
Anthony Levine of the Baltimore Ravens made his first career start this past Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. The third year defensive back joined the show to talk about he prepared heading in to the match-up against the Titans and discuss how he will be spending the bye week. Scott asked Anthony what it was like to make his first start in the NFL. "I was real nervous to go out and have my first start. But just going against Steve Smith, Jacoby Jones, and Torrey Smith every day in practice, it kind of made it a little bit easier. But I was still kind of nervous but you know we went out there and got the job done and got the win."
Jason brought up the fact that Ravens coach Steve Spagnulo texted Anthony in the middle of the week to discuss what his assignment will be for the game. Levine said he found out last minute that he was starting. "When I knew for sure that I was going to be starting on Sunday, was Sunday, when I walked in the locker room. I was taking first team reps, but it was still up in the air between me and Danny Gorrer. So I didn't know but I was still preparing to be a starter. Then I walked in the locker room on Sunday, that's when Spags came to me and told me that I was starting."
After a long season the Baltimore Ravens have finally reached their Bye Week in Week 11. Jeremy asked Anthony how he will be spending his week off. "I'm just going to hang out with my family. I'm going to spend some time with my family and my little boy and my girlfriend. Then I'm going to go down to Alabama and take my dad to the Alabama-Mississippi State game." Scott had to follow up by asking Anthony who he is pulling for, "I'm pulling for Alabama because my guy is Courtney Upshaw, so I'm pulling for Roll Tide."
