Another Train Derails In Baltimore County, No Injuries Reported
LANSDOWNE, Md. (WJZ/AP) -- Crews are on the scene of another train derailment in Baltimore County--this time in Lansdowne.
Fire officials confirm ten cars derailed Friday near Hammonds Ferry Road and Elizabeth Road. Four of those cars turned onto their side.
The train was carrying trash from New York to Virginia on a route shared with MARC trains, but weekend delays are not expected.
No injuries or hazmat materials were reported.
CSX officials are on the scene trying to determine what caused the accident.
Last month in Rosedale, Baltimore County, a CSX train carrying a hazardous material derailed after it hit a truck.
The collision led to an explosion and fires that caused an untold amount of damage to nearby buildings.
