Another Sexual Assault Reported At Univ. Of Md.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WJZ)-- Another sexual assault is reported at the University of Maryland in College Park. This incident took place off-campus last Friday in the 4700-block of College Avenue.
A female student and her boyfriend went into a room to go to sleep at 2 a.m. after attending a party at that location. The female student woke up to find an unknown male touching her back and buttocks. The victim then alerted her boyfriend, at which point the attacker left the room.
The Prince George's County Police Department is now investigating the incident. Police said there were no signs of forced entry into the residence.
This incident took place on the same day as another case WJZ reported on Thursday, when a female student asleep in her dorm room at University of Maryland woke up to find the attacker fondling her breasts. Police released surveillance video of the man running away from the dorm. They are trying to determine if the same man is responsible for both these incidents.
