Another Day Off For Patriots Before Super Bowl Prep Begins
FOXBORO (CBS) – The New England Patriots will enjoy one more day off before they start practicing for Super Bowl XLVI against the New York Giants.
Bill Belichick's team will have their second day off in a row on Wednesday, but will start hitting the practice field on Thursday. The Patriots will practice again on Friday and Saturday, although details for Saturday still being finalized.
The Patriots will likely practice in the Dana-Farber Field House on Saturday, in order to get used to the indoor atmosphere Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will present.
Head coach Bill Belichick said there was plenty to get done as the team gets ready for their fifth Super Bowl trip in the last ten years.

"I think there are a lot of things, but the logistics and all that, that's part of it. That's something that we have to deal with on any away trip. This is an extended away trip so it has some elements of that, but there are additional things," Belichick said on a conference call Tuesday. "But that's part of it. The health of the team is always important. That's what a team is: the healthy players that you can put out there on the field. That's always something that we try to be mindful of and do everything we can to get it to the highest level. We can get started on our opponent and understanding what they do and what we need to do against them and how those things match up and what adjustments we can anticipate or we've seen them make. I'd say it's all those things."

The Patriots will depart for Indy on Sunday, but not before a Gillette Stadium sendoff. Details are still being finalized, but it will likely be similar to the sendoff the Patriots had back in 2008.
The Giants are expected to arrive in Indianapolis on Monday.
Fans will have a chance to take pictures with the AFC Championship trophy this weekend. It will be on display at the Hall at Patriot Place on Saturday from 10am-8pm and Sunday from 10am-7pm.
