Anne Arundel County Police Search For Hit-And-Run Suspect
GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ)— Anne Arundel County Police have an arrest warrant out for a suspect responsible for a Sunday morning head-on collision and several other hit-and-run traffic citations.
On Sunday at approximately 9:54 a.m., officers responded to the 200-block of 8th Avenue NW in Glen Burnie for a report of a car crash with reported injuries.
Officers spoke with the 48-year-old driver of a white 1997 Dodge Caravan, who reported that he was traveling eastbound on 8th Avenue near Mary Wagner Lane when a red 1996 two-door Acura traveling westbound on 8th Avenue failed to remain right of the center lane and collided head on with the Dodge Caravan.
The driver of the Acura exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Passengers of the Acura remained on scene. One of those passengers was an 8-month-old child, who was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for precautionary purposes.
A 43-year-old female occupant of the Dodge Caravan was transported to Shock Trauma for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Officers with assistance from a K-9 unit canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect has been identified as Juan Adrien Perez, 27. Perez may also be using the following names: Jorge Martinez-Perez, Yovani Perez-Zamayoa and Yovani Perez-Zamoxa. He has a current unknown address in the Glen Ridge Community Apartment Complex.
Perez is an Hispanic male with short, black hair, last observed wearing a white, short-sleeve, collared shirt with buttons and blue jeans.
